Today's idiom: 万丈高楼平地起 (High building from low foundation)

This is a blog helping Chinese beginners getting start with Chinese.

Today, let's learn a useful idiom:









Wan Zhang Gao Lou Ping Di Qi = A high building starts from a low foundation. (Great oaks from little acorns grow)

Wan Zhang = literally similar to "ten thousand decametres / metres"... andway, it means very long or very deep
Gao Lou = High building
Ping Di = ground
Qi = start / begin

So, practice some Chinese sentences and words everyday, and let your Chinese "wàn zhàng gāo lóu píng dì qǐ"
